| The basic wheel bag is a superb entry-level model for folks who favor the unsurpassed mobility of a rolling backpack. The target customer for this bag is usually a student, teacher, or other professional who requires an easier way to cart stuff to and fro while on the job. This product lacks the additional pockets and other extras found on our more advanced wheel bags, but the fundamental design philosophy at the core of the bag has not been compromised in any way.
Most of our backpacks on wheels are very similar in size. The basic version comes in at 13" x 17" x 6" - the smallest of the bunch. However, the lack of a huge variety of pockets across the entire surface area of the pack permits one of the roomiest main zippered compartments we have available, suitable for oodles of notebooks, texts, and other school supplies.
Two zippered front pockets offer additional compartmentalization of your possessions in a simple, easy-to-access layout. The fully integrated organizer also goes a long way towards keeping things nice and tidy. And the adjustable side mesh pouch will hold a water bottle or whatever personal effects you feel belong there!
The bag is made entirely of 600-Denier polyester. The zippers are of the heavy-duty number 10 coil variety - significantly coarser than those found on our other products. These zippers are ergonomically designed to glide effortlessly along the contours of the backpack, and because of their larger construction, have an extraordinarily low failure rate.
The bag's telescoping handle is reinforced by what is called a "guide plate," which rests right on top of the bag. This allows for smooth operation of the handle's locking, unlocking, and sliding mechanisms. It also prevents damage to the material as the handle is guaranteed to enter and exit the body of the bag the exact same way every time, without rubbing against the fabric. Furthermore, the guide plate provides a structural anchor for the handle and provides rock-solid performance while on the move.
The double-seamed and riveted carry handle offers a secondary mode of transport for getting up awkward steps or over a high curb.
The large, heavy-duty wheels feature a double-wide base for unrivalled stability and an excellent range of motion. Two rubberized feet resist the wear and tear of perpetual friction, and will keep your wheel bag standing proudly upright for many years to come!
