| A substantial redesign of our successful Jampack 2000, the 2500 Deluxe model is characterized by marked improvements to its predecessor in every conceivable way. The bag is both lengthier and wider than the Jampack 2000 at 13.5" x 17" x 6.5" in size. Though most of the compartments are manufactured from 600-Denier polyester (something common to almost all of our non-firearms-related products), the Jampack 2500 Deluxe is made tougher and more robust through the implementation of ripstop and ballistic nylons.
Ripstop looks very much like regular nylon, but the filaments are strengthened by special interlocking threads which can endure enormous stresses without tearing. We employed ripstop in many of the Jampack 2500's vital areas, such as the gussets of the two front zippered pockets and the body paneling of the high-volume main zippered compartment. Ripstop absorbs the strain placed upon the seams and fabric by heavy objects such as books and binders.
The bottom of the pack is made of ballistic nylon, one of the first bulletproof fabrics created for use in flak jackets. The Jampack 2500 Deluxe employs a 1050-Denier ballistic nylon in a two-ply weave, which adheres to the original military specification for the material. Two-ply means that each yarn is actually woven of two separate 1050-Denier threads, which creates the slick, shiny, "techy" look associated with ballistic nylon.
A full-featured organizer is located in the larger of the two front pockets and makes separating all your accessories and smaller effects a cinch! Dual side mesh pockets work great for loose effects such as water bottles, umbrellas, hats, sunglasses, light jackets or sweatshirts, and whatever else'll fit in there. A dedicated pouch for your MP3 player of choice can be found on the interior of the main compartment. A wire port installed on the outside of the pack allows you to thread your headphones through the pack itself for easy listening.
The rear panel of the Jampack 2500 has been padded with air mesh trim. With a micro-perforated look similar to track shorts, air mesh is an extremely breathable, well-ventilated material that does not retain odor or moisture and maintains a high degree of comfort over an extended period of time. The Jampack comes in several three-tone color schemes, as well as the much-loved all black.
