| We modified a traditional fanny pack in several ways to create this dual water bottle waistpack. Because of the extra burden generated by two bottles filled to capacity with water (or whatever your preferred drink might be), we had to sew this 600-Denier polyester pack a with a larger double-seamed support structure. The bag's measurements are therefore 10" x 7" x 4", the upside of which being a remarkably spacious main zippered compartment.
Beneath the front flap is an auxiliary zippered pocket for extra items such as sunscreen, a cell phone, or medication. The ventilated front mesh zippered pocket is actually a wet pocket, lined with a waterproof material on the inside paneling in order to protect your other belongings from damage due to excessive moisture. The wet pocket may be used for drying objects that have become soaked (inadvertently or not), such as socks or workout towels. It may also, of course, be utilized like any regular pocket for carrying last-minute additions or smaller effects.
Both water bottle holders can be cinched down to size by using the one-inch nylon webbing attached to their sides. The integrated, adjustable 1.5" buckled nylon belt is sewn to a pair of cushioned hip pads. These pads not only provide some semblance of a skeletal system to assist in distributing the weight of the pack, but also absorb internal load-shifting to protect your skin from unnecessary irritation and chafing.
Dual nylon compression straps on the front of the pack make it a simple affair to reduce the overall profile, supplying this bag with even more stability. A top-mounted carry handle allows the pack to be easily transported even when it's not being worn.
The 90-day warranty should come as no surprise by now, but if you're new around here, yeah - you could toss this thing into a woodchipper within three months after buying it, and we'll do our damnedest to fix it (and begrudgingly send you a new one when we inevitably can't... so please don't irreparably shred your hydration waistpack, if you can help it). Five color combinations, from everyday all-black to a fiery blend of orange and yellow, are yours to command.
The hydration waistpack is ideal for cyclers and climbers. Runners be warned - this baby can get a little heavy, but with proper planning (that is to say, not stuffing your pack full of lead and concrete), you should have no problems whatsoever gettin' your jog on. Power walkers - same deal! |
