| This special limited production Tommy’s Gun Pack is lovingly handcrafted to order right in our workshop by the talented Kickin’ A Packs sewsmiths. It’s a beautiful pack made of the highest quality 1000-denier Cordura, a variant of the common nylon polymer developed by DuPont some 75 years ago.
Cordura remains both stronger and more resilient to fraying or ripping than almost any other synthetic fabric in existence, and boasts hardy resistance to the damaging effects of sunlight, moisture, temperature extremes, grime, and oil. In fact, Cordura will never fade, break down, or develop rot or mildew under any condition!
This limited production pack has been rendered in a unique, never-before-seen "Verdante" two-tone design combining a mellow, mallard green dye ringed by an accent panel of TrueWood camouflage..
The pack is comprised of three zippered compartments: one gun pouch, and two auxiliary pockets to be used for carrying personal effects such as your wallet, keys, cell phone, sunglasses, medication, or anything else you’d like safe and secure on your personage. The center compartment features a number of integrated nylon-elastic magazine holders capable of accommodating any standard mag, as well as many high-capacity and extended clips (assuming they’re only an inch or two longer than your weapon’s factory mags).
The gun pouch is padded with soft shock-absorbent foam and requires no holstering device to keep your weapon from shifting about inside the compartment, as the gun pouch is in and of itself the holstering device, acting as a form-fitting sleeve that wraps around the individual profile of your gun and grips it firmly in place.
Rather than an obvious pull tab or velcro strip giving away your pack as a firearm concealment device, both sides of the gun pouch have identical buckles – one of them attaches the belt to your waist, and the other (location dependent upon whether you are a right- or left-handed draw) opens the gun pouch.
Just grab the buckle, pull forward, and the YKK number 8 coil zippers (upgraded with Cordura “stealth” zipper pulls for noiseless operation) glide apart in opposite directions, liquid smooth and lightning fast! The butt of your pistol is cleanly exposed, giving you the opportunity to present your weapon as quickly as possible. It’s the most intuitive system ever devised for drawing a firearm from a concealment device, and our patented double-zipper buckle release system is just another of the many innovations that make a Tommy’s Gun Pack unlike anything else out there (click HERE to read the patent, if you’re interested).
The buckles are injection molded from acetal resin, an engineering-grade thermoplastic with an insanely tough molecular structure heat-set around 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Smash ‘em, crush ‘em, throw ‘em into a brick wall… these buckles don’t break. And their triple-retention Cop-Lok design provides additional security against theft or disarming by a malicious third party. The center release catch of the deployment buckle (NOT the belt buckle) is shaved down in our workshop so that it detaches using the standard two buckle prongs in order to ensure the deployment system is not in any way hampered or slowed in a self-defense crisis.
The gun pack’s belt is sewn from heavyweight nylon webbing, rated with 7700 pounds of breaking force. Anything short of a huge animal or a gigantic machine is going to find it impossible to tear this webbing. Elastic belt keepers are included with the pack so that your belt is always looking its best. The webbing comes in a Glossflex finish, which is very soft and pliable with a slight glossy sheen that looks great in the daylight. We cut each and every belt to order, setting the median measurement at your waist size while providing 6-8 inches of adjustments both up and down.
All load-bearing seams are double-stitched for extra strength, and the zippers are reinforced with quadruple-stitching in order to protect these vital components from the strenuous rigors of daily use.
