Tremendous amounts of thermal energy must be applied to the acetal resin prior to molding in order to produce its characteristic heat-set molecular strength and ensure the polymer is extruded cleanly enough to yield the fine details of the buckle’s design specifications.
An example of these fine details are the coiled support pylons attached to each of the two side brackets on either side of the center release catch. You will not find these auxiliary structures on any other triple-retention buckle out there. The principle aim for these pylons is to absorb any stress energy applied to either the side brackets or the center guide rails, relying upon the incredible tensile strength generated by our acetal polymerization process to severely reduce the chance of the side brackets ever breaking by roughly ninety-five percent. Side bracket failure, by far, makes up just about all of our buckle-related warranty requests, but with acetal resin buckles, it simply becomes a moot point!
We use much higher quality thermal and oxidative stabilizers than is the industry standard during the final melt compound stage of the manufacturing process,which catapults the already more-than-sufficient durability of this material to untold heights. The end result is an essentially indestructible buckle.
