The copper pulls that come standard with YKK number 8 coil zippers (which we use on all our products that employ zippers) can be a bit noisy. Take a step, and they jingle. Take another, and they jangle. It’s not a huge problem but for those who want to completely neutralize the acoustic profile of their gun pack, range bag, or pistol case, these “stealth” zipper pulls made of Cordura will allow you to retrofit all your zipper sliders so they won’t make a sound.
We use Cordura, an improved variant of standard DuPont nylon, for these zipper pulls as its excellent abrasion resistance and stretch memory allow it to be jerked, tugged on and yanked over and over again without any chance of weakening or otherwise damaging the yarns. The Cordura has been woven into what is called a solid braid, which is an extremely tight weave utilizing lockstitch construction that prevents the braid from unraveling, even if cut or torn. This allows the zipper pull to be spliced back into itself and fully repaired in the event outside forces do somehow cause a failure of the material.
Every stealth zipper pull includes a molded nylon block pull tab with vent-style corrugation on all four sides, giving your fingers an easy and sure grip on the zipper pull every time. Installation of the stealth zipper pulls requires just a few seconds and almost no brainpower! First, simply cut off the metal zipper pulls from the actual zipper slider, which is the square-shaped metal object at the base of the pull which slides up and down the “teeth” or coils of the zipper. Thread the looped bottom of the stealth zipper pull through the slider, then take the nylon pull tab, slip it through the looped bottom, and pull it tight! Done. Our stealth zipper pulls are made of the finest available components and manufactured in the USA, and are backed by our lifetime warranty guarding against defects in all materials and workmanship – or we’ll replace your stealth zipper pulls at no charge!
